read or unread documents deletion or moving in users inbox

Hi Experts,

How can an administrator delete or move( into thrash folder of the user's inbox) Unread documents and documents from another user's Business workplace?

documents or unread documents will have ID's?? can find in log??

Generally users have option that 'delete' or 'move' ,if they right click on that document. But in the production system one user is not having those options though all authourisations given to him.(sap_all and sap_new). but some users are having those options in prd system.

Kindly let me know how can we enable those options to that user.

or how can workflow administrator can move or delete those document from that user's inbox.

Thanks,

Ramesh.

hi,

Check this thread of 2007 where I provided the answer to this problem

There is a big chance that SAP has provided new functionality for this issue.

Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

Hi Ramesh,

If the user is facing issues re Documents (Delete/Move etc) then I would advise you to check the user parameters in SU01 and see if any particular parameter is masking the user view.

Check the settings, transaction SBWP => settings->office settings.

Hi,

You should investigate how this situation came about - why are there unread documents? Should they be there in the first place? Will it happen again?

If you decide to delete the current batch, you should always use logical deletion:

Hello,

What do you mean by "documents"? Workitems? Emails?

If it's workitems then they can be removed by administrators but shouldn't be. They should be handled by the user. If the workitems are no longer relevant then a mechanism for removing them should be built into the workflow design.

But, if you mean workitems and it's a once-off then, yes, the administrator can logically delete the workflow at the top level.

SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW should give a user access to do anything to objects that belong to them.

Hi,

Still not sure what you mean. Information messages = Emails? Alerts? Can you perhaps post an example?

thanks
