Logical client name change for datasource in RSA1

Hi ,

When I double click a datasource on RSA1 under infoprovider in SCM 7.0 EHP3 system , I am getting the below error.

"Source RSDS <datasource>  <Log Client SID X> does not exist "

It's taking the <Log Client 001> incorrectly for which source system connection not available

I want to change it from <Log Client SID X> to another system <Log Client SID Y> which is the correct one.

How can I chnage the datasource client now.

Note : The datasource comes under demand planning in RSA1 and here the SID X & SID Y are two different PI 7.01 systems.

Please let me know the solution steps and where the client name should be chnaged for that datasource so as to point the correct PI system

Hi Daniel,

if you have many datasources with this issue, try running  BDLS giving the correct client and check.

Hi Sai,

BDLS was already ran but It's still checking the incorrect source system connection instead of the correct one.

Can we delete the source system and try again. Would it resolve the issue?

Hi Daniel,

Instead of changing existing source system i.e Log Client SID X, you can directly replicate Datasource from

Log Client SID Y and it will automatically point to Log Client SID Y system.

Use tcode RSDS provide Datasource name and source system and replicate.
