Have external number range for 'inv' and give the number you want manually.

thanks for your helpful replay but

problem in external number range is that the user at CV01n should give the DIR manually.

so when user want to create new DIR from CV01n user should know the last created DIR to increase it by one  to avoid gaps in sequence. this operation costs a lot of time and not practical.

1-is there is another way to avoid gaps in DIR Sequence.

2-is there is any way to have external number range and assign it automatically at CV01n.

Hi Reda Hamad,

Your both document types are assigned by internal number range. When ever you create a DIR from CV01N  system will generate the internal number in sequence manner to avoid duplicate.

If you have same number range assign in both document type, then you can create DIR with same name.

System will allow you to create as system will check DIR duplicacy with particular document type, not for other document types.
