Dear All,

I read many articles on internet about HCI( Hana Cloud Integration) which contains all PI capabilities and integrate cloud to on premises, cloud to cloud,....etc

And PI is also option to integrate Cloud to on premises , cloud to cloud.

But I am still confusing on that, PI on-premises server is possible to integrate cloud to cloud  and cloud to On-premises? if possible how?

Thanks & Regards,
Sateesh

Sateesh,

Any PI (in cloud or on-premise) system can integrate cloud to cloud and cloud to on-premise. i.e.,

cloud (web-service) to cloud (web-service) and

cloud (web-service) to on-premise (web-service, File, email, JDBC.....).

Usually cloud based applications expose some API...web-services (http+SOAP or http+REST).

Many thanks Raghu for your knowledge.

But what I heard there is no PI system on cloud and HCI is  based on the cloud and the option which contains capabilities of PI.

Yes I heard also PI on premises possible to integrate cloud applications to on premises.. etc , but how to connect cloud system?  using adapter only? what are procedures?

If PI on -premises is the option to integrate cloud applications, why they introduce HCI?

Thanks & Regards,

Sateesh

Sateesh,

This is my understanding.

Why HCI?

1. Rent integration (hardware and software). i.e., advantages of cloud software.

2. Out of the box development content like mapping, SI, DT. No development effort.

3. More. Link1, Link2

How to connect to HCI?

Link.

How to connect to other cloud based application. E.g. Salesforce, Ariba on-demand.

These applications give details, how use there cloud software using SaaS API, in documentation. We can connect to Ariba on-demand using web-services (http+SOAP).
