Table to find Data type of all Info objects

Hi All,

I have a requirement to filter the info objects by their data type. I have looked in the following tables but could not get this information.

RSDIOBJ
RSDIOBJT
RSDATRNAV
RSDATRNAVT
RSDBCHATR
RSDCHABAS
RSDCHA
RSDDPA
RSDIOBJCMP
RSKYF
RSDTIM
RSDUNI

I have seen in many posts people have asked to check in the table "RSDCHABAS" for data type, but this table is not having all the objects present in system.

Kindly suggest.

Hi Preethi,

There are only 2 tables containing the data type of InfoObjects:

  • RSDCHABAS - Basic characteristics
  • RSDKYF - Key figures

In both tables the field DATATP contains the data type.

Note that the first table is used for Characteristics, Time Characteristics and Units. Here you might have to do it in two steps if the InfoObject is referencing another InfoObject. In this case you will have to go first to the tables:

  • RSDCHA - Characteristic Catalog
  • RSDTIM - Time characteristics
  • RSDUNI - Units

The field BCHREFFL is then filled with 'X' and CHABASNM will show a different InfoObject. The field CHABASNM can then be used to access table RSDCHABAS to lookup the data type.

Best regards,

Sander
