ECC User Authentication for Custom SAP Mobile Application

Dear Experts,

Is there any standard functionality provided by SAP if I ever wanted to build a custom SAP mobile application (Native Android for example) that access SAP ECC functionality to authenticate the user? Is there any FM available in SAP ECC for this?

The custom application will authenticate if the user has provided the correct username & password as registered in the SAP ECC. Is this possible?

Any advise is appreciated.

Hi Suwandi ,

A FM SUSR_LOGIN_CHECK_RFC  is available to authenticate the user at R/3 side.

But if your requirement is to Authenticate and Login user (User On Boarding Process) in a Native Android Application and using SMP, then MAF Logon Component would help you . There is a detailed guide available here explaining the user on boarding for Native Android .

Yes I guess it's possible with SAP standard functionality for authentication.
