Doubt in using Query Browser

Dear BO mates,

I am using Query browser to get the data from OLAP universe. I have imported the data to spreadsheet also. But the data is getting populated only at run time(Preview)..

Is there any option to get it populated when the dashboard is in design view?

or if you want the data to get displayed in design view in acomponent,u can select query data while mapping.

Thanks a lot for your reply!

I have mapped the data to component and the dashboard is working fine also...

But I felt difficulty in mapping a component to spreadsheet data, since the embedded spreadsheet will get loaded with data only when it is in preview mode..

I want to see the data in embedded spreadsheet after refreshing the query in design mode..

In your picture, you will only map the spreadsheet columns but you wont be aware of data how it populated in spreadsheet(you cannot view the cell values right)..

Hi Bala,

This is by Design feature when making use of Webservice connections or Query browsers. You can do one thing is in preview mode, take the snapshot of current excel data into excel format.
