We have two production instance.

Can I create same user in both the production instance. Is there any compliance break?

Hi dte,

If there are two different systems, means two different SID, you can keep any userID, same or different, no issues at all.

If these are two different instances, you don't have to create ID on additional instances, since SID and DB are same, so that are coupled as a same system.

soory not two production instance only.

It is two production server with seperate installation number.

Will it create problem in SAP Audit ?

Becasue at single instance level we can restrict multiple logons thru instance profile.

But in his case installation is different and may be server locations also diff.

Hi

If you are using different installation numbers but the user id is same on both production system

It will add one more license during the time of auditing.

If I take care during login/logout activity then will it create problem ?

i.e. before logon to 2nd production server, I will logout to 1st production server.

It will count two different license's since both installation number are different,

To avid this, you can installation the both production systems in one single installation number, then it will count as a single license with multiple SAP instances.

Just want to know one more thing, SAP will allow two production system in single installation number ?

Also both the production system will be at different Geographical Area.
