What did the acronym HANA originally stand for?
when was SAP HANA officially launched
According to former SAP CTO Vishal Sikka in a blog post from 2008 (which in a later video recording he timed to August 2006):
SAP’s founder Hasso Plattner inspired me to do an experiment we dubbed Hana, for Hasso’s new architecture (and also a beautiful place in Hawaii),
The product was officially launched at SAPPHIRE NOW in May 2010.
