Problem establishing connection to information steward (COR-10868)

I've recently installed information steward 4.2 sp2, but whenever I log in I get the below mentioned error:

Unexpected error when processing request for service. Contact your administrator. (COR-10868)

I'm using the below environment:

BO server: 4.1 SP1

BODS: 4.2 SP2

BOIS: 4.2 SP2

DATABASE: MS SQLSERVER 2012

The log file gives the below error:

Can anyone help me to know why this error is coming and how to fix it?

Hi All,

Finally it worked. I have installed Information Steward successfully as per the below landscape without any problem and working fine now.

I would recommend to refer the above SAP Note before deciding the platform for DS and IS installation.

The platform that I've installed is as follows:

BO server: 4.1 SP3

BODS: 4.2 SP3

BOIS: 4.2 SP3

DATABASE: MS SQLSERVER 2012

Hi All,

Finally i found out the reason for this error. on going deep into the problem I figured out that BO server: 4.1 SP1 is not compatible with BODS: 4.2 SP2 & BOIS: 4.2 SP2.

For more information on compatibility please refer to SAP NOTE 1740516.

Hope this might help many of them who are receiving the same error.

Please d reply if I'm incorrect anywhere or any suggestions.

Isn't there more info in the log files? Could be same casue as for

Hi Dirk,

Yes you are correct this all started with the same error. On going through the same post that you specified above, I re-created the IS Repository and overwritten it using ISRepositoryUtility.

After re-creating the repository I started getting the error (COR-10868). Before this I was getting the same error (COR-10126)

Now i have no idea why this error is popping up and how to fix it. Could you please help me if you have any idea of this error.

Have you checked the server processes in the SIA? Are they all enabled and started?

I assume you've tried that already. But in case you haven't: sometimes, rebooting the server may help, too (just don't ask me why).

If nothing helps, is there any additional information in the logs?

I have tried that already, and again done that but still the same error is popping up. Please find the attached snapshot of the servers running.

I'm also attaching the log file for your reference.

It would be of great help if you could guide me to resolve this issue.

Then I am afraid I cannot advise you anything but

1/. get in touch with SAP support, or

2/. have an SAP consultant over to assist you with a brand new installation (I mean from scratch)
