HI All,

I have a catalog where i have maintained two views. I want to assign these two different view of the same catalog to two different user. Can anybody suggest how this can be done.

One of my user has got the role /CCM/CATALOG_SEARCH , but the other user is not assigned with that role. When i maintain the view in this role for the first user, it also gets reflected to the other user who is not having that role atall. How to correct this and why this is happening??

Thanks

Hi

Which CCM version are you using ?

Prerequisites

-> You have used the View Definition function to create the view that you want to assign.

-> You have published the catalog since creating the view.

-> You have authorization to make changes to the role to which you want to assign a view. For more information about authorization, see SAP Authorization Concept.

Please have a look to the following links, which might help.

Hi Atul.

I am working on

SRM 5.0 Release 550, SAPKIBKT05

CCM Release 200_700,SAPK-27004INCCM

I have already seen those links in your post to Navneet.

What i want to know is

1. Can the views be assigned through other roles other than the standard search role

2. And why the views r inheriting in the other user where that std view is not assigned.

Thanks

Hi

1. Yes, try it out as well.

Also try this...

You can create a copy of these views and make a custom role and attach those required functionality to the user roles (Take the Help of BASIS guys, to create the role - using PFCG Transaction)

2. May the roles to the user contain composite roles.

Hi Atul,

Ya I had solved the problem yest. But thanks for that info, it was helpful, i have rewarded the points. I had to create a separate integrated call structure. It works with any role provided that role is attached to the user which is mentioned in CCM-USER in the integrated call structure with the required views.

Thanks
