Dear All,

We have setup our DR server for SAP PI server NW7.31.We have restored the backup from the Primary server and restored it in the DR server.

After restoring Database our Abap stack started successfully.

But AS Java system is not starting.

As i have checked in various threads it has been mentioned to do changes in the config tool. But there is no clear information on what are the changes to be done in the config tool to start the AS Java.

Kindly help us on resolving this.

Thanks and Regards,

Siva

Hi Siva,

You need to check the SAPSR3DB user password both at database level and secure storage in configtool.

Moreover paste the bootstrapped and dev_server0 and std_server0.out file.

Hi Ashutosh,

Thanks for the reply.

In Bootstrap log the error message is

node 'bootstrap' failed with exit code 515

Do we have to take the backup of /usr/sap/<SID> directory from Primary server to DR server inorder for Java instance to start..?

Kindly advice on this.

Thanks and Regards,

Siva

Could you attach all the bootstrap logs from the /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00/work directory?

If there is a change in the hostname then check the hostname entries in the configtool.

Try rerunning the PAS installation using system copy option in SWPM. This will solve your issue.

Hi Siva,

Could try to open configtool. İf it doesnt work, go to tools -> Edit Secure Store and check sapsr3db user password.

Hi Siva

After restore the DB in DR system, you have to perform the homogeneous system copy with same SID & different host name in private environment. once the system copy completed just do the basic check within the system. then you can do the DB mirroring or log shipping from primary to DR DB based on your DB version.
