Some material in different Plant can be used as Equipment BOM.

Hi Experts,

I have a question, I have some material under different plant, which our user wants to use in Plant Maintenance, but our planning plant is different then this plant.

How can we use this material as equipment BOM, because our users don't want to move these materials to the plant which is maintenance planning plant due to some reason.

How can we use this material from the same plant where they are at the moment.

Hi,

You cannot use this concept.

If you want to have equipment BOM, your materials should be available in that equipment BOM plant, else system will not allow you to create it.

You will get a message "Material X is not maintained in Plant Y"

Hi,

For this you need to extend the material to your plant. During consumption we can use mvt type 201.

Hi,

You mean to move it to Maintenance Planning Plant, if yes but our user don't wants to move this to planning plant, he wants select the material from its own plant.
