Mismatch between the last tool version run and the current one

Hi Experts,

I having below error message on step MAIN_INT/TOOLVERSXML_UPG(preprocessing) when I use SUM SP12 to do patching on ECC6.0 SP05 to SP16.

My OS is MS Server 2003 r2 and MSSQL2005.

1EETQ399 Last error code set is: Fatal Error: Mismatch between the last tool version run and the current one: Release in kernel type cur was 700, now in sys it changes to 720. 1EETQ204 Upgrade phase "TOOLVERSXML_UPG" aborted with severe errors ("20141224202041")

I have confirmed that kernel in ../usr/sap/DEV/SYS/exe is equal to ..\usr\sap\DEV\DVEBMGS02\exe and also in ..\usr\sap\SUM\abap\exe.

Also, the kernel showing in system is 720 when I checked via sapgui.

Please advise if you have any idea.

Thank you.

Hi RB,

Thanks for your advise.

I have confirmed that the kernel on mentioned path is 720(latest).

Wondering the tool still complaining the kernel version different issue.

Anyway, the system upgrade is completed after taken below steps.

- stop all sap instances.

- Replace the kernel 720 to 700 in ..\SUM\abap\exe and \usr\sap\dev\sys\exe

- Start SAP instances

- run the SUM again

- After bypass the check, replace the kernel from 700 to 720 again

- done.

Thank you.

Por.
