How to Prevent GI Amount Different from MO

Hi Expert,

MO allows Material quantity been change anytime. we are having problem that they print the MO, then change the quantity in the system.

How can we control better on this?

1. Can system need Re-Release if Quantity been changed?

2. Can we restrict Quantity cannot be change if already been Released?

while we plan quantity 100. if the issue is not fullfill, MM actually can issue quantity more than 100. anyhow we can restrite that? any config for that? config from MM or PM?

I guess you can activate the standard error message SE 438 as error message

Quantity & exceeds target quantity & for the purchase req. by &

This will avoid users to put more in PO.

Do consult with your MM colleagues.

Also i dont think there is any restriction can be done in MO, since after converting into PO.

Hi Terence,

i mean while we put quantity 100 in MO, component. when we GI to MO using MIGO. notice they can GI quantity more than stated in MO. not in PO.

How to restrict that?

I tried it in my system, still i get a error message, when i try to issue more than it was in MO.

On executing MIGO, i got message Message no. M7362

RE Reserved quant. exceeded by 1 EA : 80000090 XXXX 02
