How to Reduce the field length in HANA table ?

Hi Experts,

Is there any possible ways to reduce the length of a field in the existing HANA table ?

Data has been dropped and dependent objects are also removed.

Still giving error while activation.

Hi Devi -

There are some restrictions in altering the table . Please have a look at the

ALTER TABLE - SAP HANA SQL and System Views Reference - SAP Library

In your case you can drop and recreate the table.

When there is no dependency and data is also not present ,then the table can be dropped and can be recreated right.
