Hi,
I would like to ask on how can Charm assist in the following Transport Sequence scenario?
I have created 4 new TR numbers (example):
TR0001
TR0002
TR0003
TR0004
Then I have assigned the change to the TRs and I would like to transport based on the following sequence:
TR0003
TR0001
TR0004
TR0002
Kindly advice on how do I make sure that Charm could Transport correctly as I'm aware that Charm will auto-sort the TR numbers by ascending number order. Thanks in advance.

Hi Jeffrey ,
Sequence is depend on the time when you release these TR's and not by ascending number order.
This is more Transport System behavior.
So if you want to change sequence from
TR0001
TR0002
TR0003
TR0004
To
TR0003
TR0001
TR0004
TR0002
Just release them dependent start from TR0003, TR0001, TR0004, TR0002.
But if you already Relesead them, if this is Urgent Change document you can import sepratly with you sequence.
For Normal Changes you may use Preliminary Import.

Hi Dan,
Based on our testing, it is based on the TR creation date where the smaller TR number will be transported 1st.
It seems like Charm is sorting and transporting based on the smaller Change Document first.
Within the Change Document it will transport the smaller TR first.
So I wonder if there is a method to transport, for example, CH1K900111 first?
RFC | Change Doc | TR | Created Seq | Dev Seq | Release Seq | Transported Seq |
8000003243 | 8000003245 | CH1K900108 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 1 |
CH1K900113 | 5 | 1 | 2 | 2 | ||
8000003244 | 8000003246 | CH1K900104 | 1 | 5 | 3 | 3 |
CH1K900106 | 2 | 3 | 1 | 4 | ||
CH1K900111 | 4 | 2 | 4 | 5 | ||
Conclusion: Transport Base on document created | ||||||
Thanks
