SAP BI 4.1 SP3 auto-refresh LOV in prompt

Hi all!

I'm really (really) new in BI/BO tools and all. I need to make some changes to an existent report in Web Intelligence and one of the user requirements is that in the prompt shown when he or she opens the report, the LOV must be refresh automatically.

The user needs to click the refresh button and they are looking to avoid that, As far as I understand, I'm not working with universes, the report uses a direct connection with a Bex query.

The LOV can be automatically refresh in any way, or universes are needed to accomplish this?

Maddy,

     The auto refresh of LOV using BICS is currently NOT supported. You need to manually hit the refresh button.  With BI 4.1 w/ SP5, it does now allow you to type the value without hitting the refresh button.

Is there a note from SAP regarding this situation? I already tried to look for one but I didn't find anything.

I need to justify that this can't be done with our current BO version.

Hello Maddy,

Indeed, when using Bex query, you need to click on the refresh button manually.

I have the same problem.
