0 Kudos

Hi,

I am running several SLD Server in our SAP Landscape.

Is there a way to monitor the synchronization and updates between the several SLD's with the Solution Manager?

Thanks in advance,

Beni

What are you looking to monitor from SolMan?

If the job on the remote system ran successfully?

Time stamps in the SLD entries?

A screenshot or a more precise question would be helpful.

Hi Billy,

I have several SLD server in our landscape. I want to monitor the sync and updates between the SLD's. I also would like to compare the component versions to ensure that all SLD's are equal.

I will see if I can add some screen shots to explain what I am looking for.

Beni

Hi Beni,

Please follow the below procedure to monitor SLD through out the land space.

The following procedure can be followed for setting up the Monitor:

a) Start the J2EE Engine. Then start the J2ee Visual Administrator and connect to J2EE Engine

b) Choose the server you want on the Cluster tab page and then Services->SLD Data->Supplier.

c) Choose the CIM Client Generation Settings tab page. Enter the host, the port, the service user, and the password, and save your entries (Refer Figure MonitorSetup1.JPG in Monitor.rar).

d) Restart the J2EE Engine.

e) From the start page of the J2EE Engine, choose

f) Web Dynpro->Content->Administrator.

g)     Then Choose Maintain JCo Destinations.

h) Both of the newly created JCo destinations ME_MONITORS_MODELDATA_DEST and ME_MONITORS_METADATA_DEST appear with a red status.

i) Activate both JCo destinations successively.

       a. Choose Create.

       b. Choose Next twice.

       c. For the Data Type, choose the following:

-> For ME_MONITORS_MODELDATA_DEST, Application Data

    -> For ME_MONITORS_METADATA_DEST, Dictionary Meta Data

   d. Choose Next.

       e. Choose the required system for the Message Server and then   Next.

   f. Enter the logon data and choose Next.

       g. Choose Finish to complete the task.

j) Test the two destinations by choosing Test (Refer MonitorSetup2.JPG in Monitor.rar).

Thanks & Regards,

Vamsi.
