Hi All,
I have a requirement which I never did before.
1. I have created LSMW with the following details.
Project - X
Sub Project - Y
Object - Z
there was an another Project is existing for several years as suppose "A"
The business wants now that I should assign the Y and Z to A Project.
How would I do it?
I tried to import the project under different name and wanted to mention as A but getting the message:
Thanks
Sridhar.
Hi Sridhar,
Not really sure if I understood your question correctly, but hope my input will be useful.
Subproject in SAP PS is a kind of grouping label. That means it can be a subproject (different labels within same project) or a super-project (same label cross multiple projects). Basically you can apply a matrix cut across projects.
You can maintain subprojects using transaction OPUM. That is just a code and description. Once you use a subroject field for one WBS within project definition, the system will ask you to maintain it for all WBS in a project.
Subproject has nothing to do with Projects. It is not about linking different projects into any hierarchy.

Paulo

it is not possible to import a subproject to another project than it is belonging.
You can only import a project under a different name, but not a subproject.
Create the subproject manually in your project A
Then use the Admin view and copy the object of X-Y to A-Y
If you have a recording which shall be copied too, then go into the old project Y into the recording overview and copy it from there to your A project
