Problem with SM30 search help

Hi friends.

two tables

the first table there is no description field, the second table is the table of texts.

are related by key

to generate upgrade sm30 table in the description field is empty.

Where is the problem?

Hi Tomi,

Please re-frame your issue for better understanding.

You have created two Z tables and they both are linked by a primary key field. and also you have created the TMG for the same.?

Yes,

I need to update a view of Table A in their fields have not the description field because that value is taken for Ajera key of the table B.

From the SE11 runs Table A and Table B description is.

But when doing the update view table in SE11 from the sm30 not take the reference of the B table and although the column description appears, the text appears.

Hi Tomi,

As per my understanding of your query, You have two table : ZTAB1 and ZTAB2.

ZTAB1 fields: MATNR, WERKS, MAKTX

ZTAB2 fields: MATNR, MAKTX

The key field between the two tables is MATNR. You have generated TMG for ZTAB1 and the requirement is to populate the MAKTX for the corresponding MATNR in ZTAB1.

This MAKTX will be fetched from ZTAB2.

If my understanding is correct, we need to make use of TMG events to populate the field in ZTAB1 from ZTAB2.

Hello Tomi,

In this case TABLE2 which has description should be created as TEXT TABLE of TABLE 1.

SE11 menu --> Goto --> Text table.

This should work if you have not already done this.

The problem was that it was not adequately activating the function group.

Disable all function group includes, returned to activate one by one.

Run tx se14 and I generated the table well in sm30 with content and visualization of all fields.
