Hi everyone!
I recently installed SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 6 and SAP Solution Manager 7.1.
I upgraded Solution Manager to SPS12 and now I want to upgrade ERP on latest support package to. To download SP files for ERP i need to use maintenance optimizer in Solution Manager..
My question is, how do I "connect" ERP to Solution Manager? What are the basic steps? Should I use Managed system configuration in Solution Manager... Should I configure RFC connection?
I am new to basis and I would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
You need to complete
1. System Preparation
2. Basic Cconfiguration
3. Manage system configuration in Solution manager (Solman_setup is the tcode for all this)
During these phase you will install diagnostic agents, hostagent in both Solman and satelite system and will complete all the basic steps like SLD registeration, LMDB, RFC creation, user Creation, etc.
Once all the above steps are complete you will be able to use maintenance optimizer (MOPZ).
You can find the complete guide for this @ service.sap.com/instguides --> SAP Components --> Solution Manager --> Release 7.1 --> Configuration --> PDF file.

Hi,
The basic steps are :
1. configure RZ70 on ERP to connect to principal SLD on your landscape.
2. synchronize the LMDB with the SLD.
3. create a technical system with your ERP system
4. Configure your technical system and your ERP system ( RFCs , database, host ..)
5. Create a new MOPZ transaction.
