Hi Experts,
In XI, Integration Engine is ABAP stack and Adapter Engine is J2EE based. So, how they integrate both (back end) once your message is in process.

Do you mean how ABAP and J2EE stacks communicate? If so, internally using JCo connections.
And you are rigt. IE runs on ABAP stack while Adapter Engine is based on J2EE stack.
