DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR in Live cache

Currently in APO we have some background jobs which are failing with runtime error DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR and exception as CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERROR. In system log it is showing as Database error text........: "POS(1) Work rolled back: DbpError: DbpError

-28000 error".

But when checked the error number which is memory related issue. So do we need to increase the value of parameter OmsMaxHeapSize?

Hello,

it could be the application issue or LCAPPS, or liveCache < see SAP note 2068007 & search "oms heap" > issue.

Information on the application scenario, data selection, SCM system version SP, the LCAPPS and liveCache version including the build, memory availability on the liveCache server & current OmsMaxHeapSize and oms_heap_count values will be helpful to check first.

I recommend you to create the SAP message to the component BC-DB-LVC or BC-DB-LCA and get SAP support.

Hi Natalia,

Thanks for the suggestion, the current version of Livecache is 7.7.07 and SCM is 7.0.  we are still getting the same error after increasing the OmsMaxHeapSize to 10GB , oms_heap_count is 3 and CacheMemorySize is 800 MB. RAM in Livecache is 56 GB out of which Physical Memory is 28 GB. So do we still need any other changes in Livecache.

- How much perm data do you have in liveCache?

- Do you have the cache usage 100% used when you run the appl. scenario?

  If yes, then you need to do the proper sizing & increase CacheMemorySize.

- Check the status of the tasks activities & use the DB analyzer to find the bottleneck in liveCache.

- Check the data selection for the appl. run, the liveCache parallel activities.

- You didn't post the liveCache version < build ? > , LCAPPS version & SCM 7.0 SP?

  What application scenario run at the time when the issue occurred & amount of the data selection?

   ABAP stack?

I recommend you to create the SAP message to BC-DB-LCA & get SAP support.
