Dimension selection at multiple line item in BPC template..?

Hi

I want to create dimension selection at multiple line item level in BPC report. There are total of 19 dimensions in the model out of which planning version and GL account are selected on page axis, all other dimensions needs to be selected by the user at line item level. User wants drop down at line item level for dimension ID selection for which i used active member recognition but it was ruled out by user as it was taking too much time for creating a selection.

Please suggest .

Hi Nidheesh,

How many rows in you template?

If number of rows in template are less, you can try following approach - ( it's not best practice )

Provide option to user for selection of member through drop down,  Don't create template by active member recognition, use EPM function to retrieve / save data. (It will just reduce the time taken by active member recognition action)

If it's report, then you can also try following option-

1) Create one report on one sheet with top node n hide it.

2) Give options to user explained in first part.

3) Use Vlookup with reference to hidden sheet.
