In Asset Acquisition - F-90 - Cost center is not showing which is assign with Asset

Dear Expats

We have assign cost center in Asset master data.

But during posting this cost center is not showing.

Due to profit center mandatory option - posting is not possible.

Pls. give feedback why cost center is not showing.

you seems like you are posting asset acquisition.. there are no need to use cost center here.. you  have only need to specify asset no. and transaction type that you looks that you assigned correctly.. in the asset master data you have to specify cost center to allocate monthly deprecation..so while creating the asset enter the cost center in time dependent data ..

i could not understand what you mean by profit center mandatory  option .. could you explain it more.. Regards

During creation of Asset master data AS01 we have put cost center.

Now we are going for asset acquisition F-90

in second TAB - Cost center field is disable and not showing the cost center link with this asset.

For that reason posting is not possible.

Did you get error message while posting the asset acquisition? asset acquisition is not like expense GL which the system mandate the cost center to allow posting.. i have informed you that cost center you have assigned in asset master data will be used only for monthly deprecation , so it has no relation to asset acquisition entry.. post the entry and in case of you getting error message , please send it to me..

As far as my   knowledge regarding document splitting, this error may result form one of two cases .. you have not assigned cost center in asset master data which you did say that you already assigned one in time dependent tab.. second one is that cost center assigned is not connected to profit center in cost center master data , so you may change cost center and see if this error happen again..
