Hello Experts,

I would like to install an sap system on Redhat linux and DB2 database, there will be two servers, setting up as High Availability, could you kindly let me know how can I do this, how to realize the failover function  between linux and how to realize the failover between DB2? Do I need to install 3rd party software to realize the failover on OS/DB level?

Another question is, I know this requires the storage device for shared storage, can I simulate the storage on software level? because currently we haven't bought the physical servers/storage devices.

Thanks a lot for all.

Hi Fresh,

You may need to check with your OS/Hardware vendor on the available RHEL scripts for failover.

From SAP perspective you may need to refer installation guide and perform installation using HA option.

Some useful reading for HA on RHEL

Hi Fresh

You can refer the Installation Master guide from SAP portal http://service.sap.com/guidefinder, select your OS /DB & SAP Version.
