How to create external activity without cost element

How to create external activity without cost element just now when i am trying to do same is is showing error .Please enter cost element.

Hi,

Actually CE is automatically picked from material master(valuation class), defined in OBYC. Please check your valuation class in material master MM03 and match with CE in OBYC.

Apart from this, if you don't want to use Cost element field then make this field hide using Tcode OPUB.

OPUB->Influencing->Select Network Profile->Enter NW Profile used in your Project->Select Cost element field->Hide->Save.

I do not want my project to hit SAP FI .So ,i want to make cost center  optional for external services.

But you have mentioned Cost Element  not Cost Center

Anyways have you tried my second way to make hide/display Cost element field? If no, then do so and check if it's fulfill your requirement.

Sorry !! It is cost element only not cost center.
