We're evaluating use of SAPconsole in our warehouses. Everywhere I've seen a diagram of the standard architecture, SAPconsole is installed on the same server that the telnet server is installed on which is located at the plant level.
Our question is, is there any flexibility whatsoever with separating the telnet server and the SAPconsole box, or is it a requirement that they be on the same server?? Could we install SAPconsole on the actual core SAP box and have it communicate with the telnet server located at the plant??
I'm curious to know how companies using SAPconsole now have it architected and what the reasons were.
Thx in advance.
All the telnetserver does is run the sapconsole exe program. No seperation is possible (and desirable )
