There are not enough livecache sessions

Hi,

I am seeing below error message in /sapapo/om13 for LC sessions to the liveacache 7.9.

"

There are not enough liveCache sessions.

The number of liveCache sessions should at least be equal to the number
of work processes * 3 + 4.

Maintain the liveCache parameter MAXUSERTASKS.

"

Current the no of wok processes in 372

and LC seesion is 300

How to resolve this issue and how the concept works here..Please help

Hello,

additionally,

- You could change the liveCache parameters using MAXDB studio and the dbmcli tool at OS level.

- Review the recommended liveCache parameters settings in the SAP note 1567117: Database parameter values for liveCache Version 7.9

- The is the formula how to calculate the min recommended value for MAXUSERTASKS liveCache parameter as well.

- To check the correct setting of the database parameters, you can use the most recent version of the configuration file of the Database Analyzer (SAP Note 1111426).

Hi ,

I have changed the value from 300 to 1120 in LC10.

But its still not reflecting in /om13 and the error remain same.

what should be done.

Hi Daniel,

Did you restart the Livecache after changing this parameter

Also formula tells us the least minimum required sessions ,we need to keep little more than shown by formula

Hello,

to activate the new liveCache parameter MaxUserTasks value restart the liveCache from the offline mode.

Using LC10: stop liveCache, then start liveCache

We should calculate the sessions based on the formula given there

MAXUSERTASKS=  number of work processes * 3 + 4.

For your case it will be

MAXUSERTASKS= 1120(372*3+4) ,this is the minimum no of sessions
