QA16 screen settings across all end-users

Dear SAP QM Experts,

I want to set a certain specific screen settings across all the end-users who have authorization for QA16. Screen shot attached for your reference.

Dear Kim,

I tried the above configuration in Development client from my ID and moved the customizing request to Quality Client. Thereafter we tested the changes using end-user's IDs, but changes were not reflected. They are applicable only when I login through my user ID.

I think the end-user's ID has own user variant in QA client. (variant name U_****)

Delete it, and then default variant SAP_TCODE_QA16 will be reflected.

As it is plant specific you have to create variant for Individual Plant with respective UD code.

In QA16 screen

Remove Plant and Usage Decision to be made details

Then select the required UD selected set, UD plant and UD code

Then click on save

Give Variant name With Z prefix followed by Plant code for easy Identification

Description with Plant details

Again Click on save.

When ever user go in to the Transaction get the screen with Get Variant option

But how to make these Field entries appear directly when the end-user runs the t-code QA16.

There must be some config for this.

Hi Ninad,

Please can you try these options below -

a) First create the Z-layout with appropriate output selection for Mass UD.

b) Add the selection profile at the top, either selecting any available one form the F4 list, or creating a new Z-selection profile and then selecting it there.

c) There is an option called My default. Create a user default naming as "U_XXXXXXXX" and protect it as variant.

d) Ask your user to do it only one time and then this should be reusable every time your user does this mass UD.

Please check with your user and feedback.
