Hi Experts,

COuld you please give me some details of setting up data filters for selective data replication in SLT version 7.3.

We could not see proper tabs in IUUC_REPL_CONTENT transaction code.

ANy help on this is much appreciated.

Hi,

I think you speak about NW 7.3? Which DMIS version are you using?

Usually you can create a filter rule over transaction LTRS (IUUC_REPL_CONTENT is the "old" transaction). Please read the system docu (help button). It will explain the transaction and how to use the different functions.

Hi Tobias,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the confusion we are in DMIS SPS7 version.

I have referred to one of your blogs and used "DMC_ACSPL_SELECT" table to set the filter conditions.

It was now working as expected but with an issue that seems to be causing some confusion for my understanding.

I had created an entry for one of tables to load only 2010,2011 and 2012 records into HANA.

When I ran the replication it only fetched 2010/11/12 but also extracted 2 2014 records created today.

Please help me understand this.

Got it, with this approach you only filter the initial load. The replication will not be filter, which means whenever an update/insert is now performed in your system the record will be replicated. Also keep in mind, if there is an update and at this point in time, there is no record on the target with the same keys, SLT will switch to insert.

You have to create now an additional filter in LTRC with the same conditions. This will filter also the replicated records.

Hi Tobias,

That was my first guess when I saw the record creation date in those records. But, I was wondering why this happened when the validity column of this table says whether this filter should be applied to initial load or replication.

Please see the screen shot below for further understanding.

Because this control table is also used for one other use-case (parallalization of replication). For this the "replication" and "load+replication" is required

Hi Tobias,

Can we do a bulk upload into "DMC_ACSPL_SELECt" table in SLT server?

We have lot of table to be replicated and it is hard to update the table.

Also, do you think it is worth doing the filtering through mandt and bukrs to limit the data via SLT?

Or do you think it is too much of maintenance effort.

Any help on this is much appreciated.

Thanks

HI Devi,

I am not sure if this is generally allowed. You could write an one report and insert it via a SQL script.

In general you could also filter via LTRS (+template that could be applied to all tables with one click). But the advantage from this option to the LTRS one is, that the data will directly filtered in the source and not first transfered to SLT and filtered there. The performance is better.

Hi Tobias,

We have below setting in our system, but still 6 records which value GJAHR = 2013, replicated to system, which should not be as per rule. Could you please suggest on this ? Also we are getting one error that No access plan found for table ANLC.

I think this shoud be a combined rule? If yes, there is no gatting operator like AND ?!

hi Tobias,

Thanks for your reply. this is not combine rule, we have set the rule like value for GHAHR should be equal to or greater than 2014 for ANLC table. But still entries for 2013 exist. Also we are getting no access plan found, what do you think the reason for this error and how can we eliminate it ?

Hi Tobias,

Thanks for all the help that you have provided us.

Could you please let me know how to apply filters in daily replication?.

We need the following initial load filters also applied to daily replication. How can we go about applying this for the daily replication?

Hi,

for the replication I would recommend to create a filter rule on SLT via transaction LTRS.
