Dispatcher Emergency Shutdown

Hello,

A common enough problem, instance won't start after install.  I've searched and searched and found plenty of discussions on the subject, but nothing that seems to relate exactly to this one.  I was hoping someone maybe able good enough to cast their eye over the log files and spot the problem, I can't see for looking!

I've attached dev_w0, dev_disp and dev_ms files.

Any suggestions here would be appreciated.

Thanks.

edit:

Also, R3trans -d

This is r3trans version 6.23 (release 721 - 15.01.13 - 20:13:01 ).

unicode enabled version

R3trans=>sapparam(1c): No Profile used.

R3trans=>sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline

r3trans finished (0000).

Hi Paul,

table SVERS does not exist on database

Could you check with SAP Note   556232 - Environment settings for R/3/Oracle on Windows

Thanks guys,

Environment varaibles all check out.

I've done a full restart of the box, same behaviour.  Instance will not start.  Dispatcher stopping.

Hi,

May I know what is your current kernel and DBSL patch level?  Also the environment parameter settings.

Could you please provide the output of the following SQL statement

select owner, object_name,object_type from dba_objects where object_name='SVERS';

534765 - db connect fails because of wrong db schema in environment

Aidan

Thanks for the reply:

Kernel is 721 ext 64 bit unicode, patch number 100 (this is client - upgrading this isn't an option)

Struggling to find DBSL version.  Running disp+work -v but can't seem to grab it.

Hi,

Errors like
"Table SVERS is not in the database" in the developer tracefile and
R3trans are consistent with incorrect environment variable settings.

Check environment variable dbs_ora_schema = SAP<SID>
Where SAP<SID> is the owner of the tables in the database.

Aidan

Hi Paul

Just do the full restart and then check the startup status
