Dear Team,
I have run the SUM tool in windows 2008 R2 USR/SAP/SID/SUM
when i run the batch the file the command prompt blink and gone. so, i have try login command prompt Drive:/USR/SAP?SID?SUM/SDT/exe/DSUIGT* file executed then immediately i have faced
"sum error while connecting to communication partner 4241"
I have tried to stop the sap & restart the windows server totally. i have start the tool again and same message i have persistent.
I have using latest SUM 1.0 Directory patch 09.
Please suggest any one
we will set any parameter before to start-up the SUM tool?

Hi,
It simply means SUM is not started properly.
If this does not solve the issue...
Check the port if it is blocked.
Delete the SUM directory and clear any process/service running. Extract the SAR file again and follow the procedure as mentioned above to start SUM.

Have you maintained host entries for the system,If possible try to maintain localhost entries under host file as like
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
<IP of Machine> <hostname>
After that retry the process .

Hello,
First start the SUM(services) using STARTUP.BAT with Admin Privileges(Right Click -> Run as Admin)
Then open browser & give http://hostname:4239 to start GUI
OR
Directly run DSGUi with Admin Privileges(Right Click -> Run as Admin)
