Hello Expert,
Every week I should copy the database backups on SAP server to another server or USB disk
During copying process, I found the memory were consumed quite quite quickly, and the memory will not be released even the file copy finished, unless we delete the source file, the memory could then be released for other applications.
In command "TOP", during copying process, I found the cache size increase quickly, that's the reason why memory utilization increase quickly.
My question is: is it normal? or I should make some adjustment on OS level? How can I avoid such kind of memory consumption (not cached for large file copy)?
Thank you!
Fresh
Please try to use rsync command to copy the files.
