EHP6 Upgrade stuck at PREP_INPUT Phase

Hello,

I am upgrading EHP6 on a ERP 6.0 System.

OS : AIX 71.

DB : DB2 9.7

Current Kernel : 720 Patch 700

Target Stack 721 Patch 400 on xml

I am stuck with this error message. It is asking for TP 721 38018.97.

According to note 211077 i have downloaded and copied this file into download directory tp_331-10011182.sar. However it is still getting the same error message.

Do you know what is wrong here ?

SUM is latest and i tried twice from scratch.

The tool is complaining about the TP tool. The best would be to download the TP and R3trans and extract them into the /DIR_PUT/abap/exe directory and repeat the phase.

Hi Subhash

1. While coping the file have you stop the upgrade process? Just copy the same file to \usr\sap\SID\devxxxxx\exe\ & kernel folder

2. If possible do the full restart and then try again in the same phase

Thanks Sriram.

I was able to manage it. I had to extract and copy the new tp in between the upgrade phase after kernel extraction to the ../SUM/apap/exe direcotry.
