Hi Experts,

We are trying to install SAP APO system in windows 2008 R2 cluster environment. we have installed oracle and fail safe software in both the nodes. We have created empty cluster services for SAP and oracle and assigned IP and cluster disks already.

When we assign NFS share and try to bring online we are getting the below error. we have set dependencies as assigned cluster disk and IP those are already in online.

Can anyone please let us know what should be done for this. I am aware that it should be taken care by windows team but unfortunately our admin doesn't know much about windows cluster.

your help would be appreciated.

Please note that we have installed the role "File Service" through wizard however still getting this issue.

Regards,

Pradeep

NFS is not native to a Windows server; have you installed something to handle NFS communications?

Hi Billy,

We have installed the role File service and all sub roles such as Network file services etc.,

Any third party tool/ package has to be installed explicitly ? If yes, could you please provide the link or document url ?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Pradeep

Does this link help? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753302%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

It also looks like Microsoft has NFS client tools built in without the need to install/add roles; if you have a Windows 7 PC you can run a test connecting to the NFS server which may provide more useful information...

Hi Billy,

Thanks a lot. The article was very much helpful. I had to share the drive by NFS share option which has been mentioned clearly in the document.

Now, the NFS share came to online.

Thanks a lot once again!
