Hi,
with idempotent service (cf. Settings for Idempotent Services - SAP NetWeaver Gateway - SAP Library) one can ensure that a change operation is done once and only once even if it is submitted more than once.
But how relates this to $batch and $batch change sets (cf. $batch Processing - SAP NetWeaver Gateway - SAP Library)?
I assume I would need the idempotent headers per change set, but how would I do this?
Or can I set the idempontent headers only for the whole batch?
Thank you for some hints on how to combine these two features!
Regards,
Wolfgang
Hi Wolfgang,
I never tried this but I am thinking the Batch headers are validated by GW to maintain the data integrity as they are getting a different markers once they are successfully processed.
Here is an excerpt from the link you posted which makes me think that the batch headers are validated in a change operation.
Regards,
Ram
