PS ( project systems) Budget control issue with MIGO

Hi Experts,

I need your help to sort out the issue let me explain:

Availability Budget of WBS element number XXXX is 200 $.

PO raised for the same WBS for 200 $.

User has decreased the budget from 200 to 150. Now PO amount 50 $ has been exceeded the actual budget.

Requirement is while doing MIGO it should not allow to post the exceeded amount for PO and expecting to throw an error saying that budget 50 $ has been exceeded for WBS element XXX.

Is there any sap OSS note or any solutions to meet this requirement ?

Hi Lokesh,

In SPRO settings for the  Budget Tolerance Limits select the target group as ++. It should work..

Hi Lokesh,

How do you decrease the budget? Supplement? Transfer?

Do you execute the transaction CJEN and CJBN?

Please also consider that the AVAC is not active during MIGO process (see SAP note 46209).

Hi Gordon,

To test on this scenario, I have increased the PO amount from 200 to 250 SGD.

To do this change I have used CJBW to deactivate budget control and make changes on PO amount.

Again reactivate the budget control in CJBV.

Now I am trying to test the MIGO where the PO amount is more than budget amount.

During this time I am expecting to get some error, but it does not happening and MIGO is posting without any budget exceed error message.

Please give your suggestion.

In order to get AVAC check during MIGO, please apply the proposal given in SAP note 46209.

Hi Lokesh,

I am also facing same problem.

Budget is 3mil and actual posting allow 6mil. Budget control check is not functioning.

And it showing negative budget, so please suggest on this issue..
