Ftp directory is not writable

Hi Experts,

I am facing a strange issue whether it is strange or not to you. When PI pinging the receiver ftp communication channel there is an error saying directory is not writable. When we use same credentials and placed a file in that directory. What is the issue with PI that it doesn't have writable property.

Please do help me.

Regards,

Suhale Shaik.

Please check to see if it is a firewall issue. Are you transferring from the same IP address as the PI box?

Hi Suhale,

Try different things while logged into ftp: try creating file, modifying it in the folder.

Use File construction mode "Create" and put file to "Directly" and try running the scenario.

It shows that it has "777" access.. ideally you should not see that error?

What happens if you try to process message using that channel? is it throwing some exception?

When i ping the channel it is saying the directory is not writable.

I understand that and may be it could be a bug.

Did you see the same error when you try to process the messages to your FTP directory?

Hi Suhale,

Ask administrator to give permission for ftp input and output directories.

Hi Srinivasan,

By using the same id and password of FTP we are placing a file copying a file and pasting it there in that directory.

The same directory is having readable permission when PI connecting to read a file. What might be the problem.
