Hi,
i need to connect a BW 7.4 to a R/3 system 4.6C.
but in the 4.6C we have
ST-PI | 2008_1_46C |
But we don't have PI Basis plugin, so we don't have any BW transaction in R/3
My question is :
Can i install the basis plugin and then connect R/3 to BW ?
Where can i found source for basis plugin ? which version do i have to install ?
is there another way to connect R/3 without installing the basis plugin ?
Thanks for help.
Regards
Cyril
Hi Cyril,
I dont think it will support.
Any way refer this guide.
And also move this question to Administrator forum, you will get more answer.

Thanks for your answers,
but i know that 4.6C with BW 7.3 is compatible : http://scn.sap.com/thread/2088008
and i already did it 4.6C to BW 7EHP1
And when you read the note153967 - BI Content Release Strategy
You have the information :
"PlugIn" and "PlugIn Basis" are downward compatible. It means: e.g. an SAP Application like ERP with a lower PlugIn/PlugIn Basis release can replicate data into a SAP BW Hub Server (Hub = stand alone SAP BW Server) which has a higher PlugIn release AND vice versa - an SAP Application with higher PlugIn/PlugIn Basis release can replicate data into a SAP BW Hub Server which has a lower PlugIn release.
Thanks for the documentation, but my question was not "How to create source system connection" but do i have to install Basis plugin and how ?
For the moment i have no SBIW/RSA6/RSA3 transaction available in R/3
Thanks
Cyril
Hi Cyril
I think its not possible to connect the BW 7.4 to SAP R3 system. Kindly refer the SAP Note along with PDF. you have to use BW 7.3 with SAP R3 system.
