Fields in Creation of free goods VBN1

hi everybody,

Can somebody expalin in detail the fields in creation of free goods(T-vbn1) like free goods quantity,additional quantity,documnet quantity and calculation rule....

<b>Please dont copy paste anything form SAP help....I read that one......</b>

Hi Gafoor,

Material

Material, for which free goods is to be

granted

Minimum quantity

Minimum quantity for which free

goods can be granted

From

Quantity of sales material

FGQ--- Quantity unit of free goods material

Free goods -- Quantity of free goods with reference to the quantity and quantity unit of the sales material.

AQU - Quantity unit of the free goods additional quantity

Rule - Calculation rule

Prorata

whole units

unit related

D -- Delivery controlling - it tells how you can manage the delivery of free goods with respect to the main item ordered.

Additional material - Additional material (only available for entry in exclusive free goods)

Hi,

say there is an item x with inclusive free goods.

ordermaterial is X

ord qty (say ) 10

free goods 2 ( out of 10 because inclusive)

Units of measure

delivery control--- tells whether the free goods must/can/partially go along with main items.

calculation rule--- prorata ( min qty say 9+3, if 12 qty ordered then 4 qty is free in prorata. )

whole units -- 14 ordered he will get 4 units free ( 4 completed sets)

unit related-- if 14 ordered then no free at all.

additional qty- used for exclusive free goods to say for pen you also get a pencil in the qty mentioned.

Hi Ghassan,

From---- if user place an order for minimum of 100 qtty then only this free good promotion will active , which is maintained in " Min qtty" - field,

if customer places an order for 100 qtty, for how many qtty , we r going to offer free goods,

eg: if order qtty is 100, within that for every 10 qtty we offer 1 ea free.

in this case , we enter 10 qtty in "From" field,

1 qtty in " are free goods" field,

then the system understands, that min qtty is only to activate free goods procedure,

Prorata-- is a calclation rule, how to calclate free goods quantity.

eg: for every 100 qtty - 10 qtty is free,

where the order places for 180 qtty , then

the allowed free goods qtty is:

if 100 qtty -

---

10 qtty free

then 180 qtty -

---

? qtty will get as free .

? = (180*10)/100 = 18 qtty .

this calclation formula is written in Routine '1" n called as prorata(proportional rate)
