Add material to incompletion log for VA01

Hi ,

I have a requirement where I want to add material to incompletion log. System should send a warning to add material number and if document is saved without entering material number no further documents should be created.

Hi;

You can create incompletion log for sales order item VBAP-MATNR field.

This can be done with standard incompletion log settings.

Hi Avinash,

Thanks.But at item level we assign incompletion procedure to an item category.SO if I enter a material number ..I can assign incompletion for order quantity,weight ,etc ..and since material comes at item level it can not be assigned to header also.Hence this is a bit tricky situation I guess.

I am sure that can be done in header level incompletion procedure as well. Insert VBAP-MATNR in header incompletion.

In completion log, maintain as follows at header level and try creating a new sale order.

Thanks.Yes it works as it send order into incompletion log but for completing the data it is taking to PO number screen which is not correct I guess from a business perspective.Looks like it will be a change in user exit.But thanks a lot

I do not think any specific material related screen can be assigned there. But this is just a indication for data completion so I you use it as work around. I would suggest the same in spite any more development.
