Hi Vijesh,

Alok already suggested you the answer. You cannot overlap your history and forecast horizon.

The system will generate an Ex-post forecast after the initialization period for the history horizon to fit the model then the statistical model predictions start at the beginning of the forecast horizon.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

The Ex-post forecast might be what you are looking for?

Hi Max,

Am trying to run forecast with rolling history  ,like 2014 Forecast should consider the historical data till 2014 Oct... in that way system will consider the good and historical data... and we are only considering 12 months history not more...

thanks to help.

Vijesh

Hi Vijesh,

If you want rolling history, use the periods and offset, and not fix the horizon for History or Forecast.

For example, from your screen shot, you wanted 1 year history to be taken into account to calculate forecast for 1 year. Use the periods as 12 or 52, based on your TBP whether it is in Months or weeks, accordingly it will calculate.

But if you are trying to fix the horizon, it should never overlap as suggested by Alok.

JB
