Dear DB49
I have gone through F1 help i was not able to understand the below points
Individual Dependent Requirements will be Created if Poss.
If a dependent requirement is created for this product during the explosion of the production process model, an individual dependent customer requirement is also created if possible. This is only possible if the pegged production order is procured using make-to-order production. If the pegged production order is produced to stock, a collective dependent requirement is created.
Does it mean that when the customer request comes then only orders are created ????
how does it works with strategy planning with final assembly ??
Virender,
Use of large fonts on a blog/forum is the internet equivalent of 'yelling'. Probably a good idea to save such effects for special cases.
Does it mean that when the customer request comes then only orders are created ????
No. It means that, depending on the other settings you select, the dependent demands which are generated by the planned orders created by the planning engine are directly linked to the sales demand; or the dependent demand may also be 'anonymous' (collective dependent requirements)
how does it works with strategy planning with final assembly ??
Planning with final assembly is a make-to-stock strategy; therefore all supply orders are built to support stock shortages. You do not build to support individual sales orders; these are all lumped in with any other demands and the total requirement is used to calculate shortages. In this case, it does not matter what settings you make in this field, demand will always be treated as anonymous. The system never 'sees' any sales-order-specific dependent demands, and will therefore always produce a collective dependent demand.
