Hi,
I have already gone through few discussion on the forum about standard export & import of the data from SLD during migration.
In our case.
Older dev box has hostname: XYZ
New dev box has hostname: XYZ12
Now with import of technical system from older (XYZ) to the newer system (XYZ12) host name of these TS points to older dev box (XYZ) but not the new one I.E(XYZ12)
The older dev box will stopped at some point of time.
What are the options or solutions insight so that these TS points to new host not the old one?
Appreciate your inputs.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,

When you say old dev box host name, are you referring to PI system?
If so you don't need old PI system technical/business systems in SLD.
As part of the post installation, you can register PI components automatically into SLD which will have new host names etc.

>>>What happens in case of third party systems & ECC?
You mean what happens if the host name changes for ECC and third party systems?
If the hostname changes for ECC system, why do you want to export and import the content from old system?
Instead you can register them via RZ70
For third party "host name" can be anything ( it doesn't matter if it carries a wrong hostname)
You can refer to below discussion on the same
If you have gone through the discussion, you can't rename the hostname.
Moreover i assume they have configured PI system hostname as they don't know the actual host name of the third party system.
As i said,it's just a third party system either ignore that as it'll have no impact if the host name is wrong.
Else if you really want to have the new PI system hostname, then delete the technical system and recreate it again with new host name.
After that you need to manually assign this technical system in the corresponding business system.
