Hi

1. Are you going to do QA refresh from PRD system? if it yes, how you are start the backup in PRD system using Sql tool , in the same way you have to select the restore option in QAS system.

2. Start the SAP Homogeneous system copy method. Kindly refer the System copy guide from SAP Service Market Place http://service.sap.com/guidefinder select the OS /DB & SAP Version

So you are trying to create a new QAS system as a copy of your PRD system? You will need to do more than just restore the database, as some of the Java information is stored outside of it. Therefore, you will need to restore the database but also create an export of the Java system and then import the file created in the export. This is done with the SWPM tool. The procedure is described in detail in the System Copy Guide for your system. Go to http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NetWeaver 7.3/7.31 -> Installation -> 2 - Installation - SAP NetWeaver Systems -> System Copy: Systems Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 and Higher -> Windows: Java.

Matt

Oh, and note that you can definitely choose the Database-Dependent (SQL Server) copy method (backup/restore). You will need some downtime for your PRD system to create the Java export, but it shouldn't take very long.
