Hi SRM MDM Catalog Xperts,
I am working on SRM MDM Catlog.
I am able to login to the http://<server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~mdmsrmui/MDM_SRM_UI_App only with users having Catlog Manager and UI Configuration Manager roles only. With these roles i customized the users with the Catlog User role like User1,2 etc.
But when i login to the http://<server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~mdmsrmui/MDM_SRM_UI_App
using users with the Catlaog user role i am getting "Login Failed" error.
On the whole i am unable to see the SRM MDM Webdynpro catalog.
What has to be done now?
Is there any bug in the SRM MDM Catalog?
Regards,
Vijay
Hi Vijay, hi all,
(how) did you solve the problem?
I also face the problem that login is not possible on UI config
http://<server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~mdmsrmui/MDM_SRM_UI_App.
There is a communication between SRM server with J2EE on the one hand and MDM server on the other hand: After filling in the server name on login screen, I can select between repositories that are "loaded and running".
I select the (SRM-MDM-)repository.
I have 2 users with role "UI Configuration Manager" related to the repository in MDM console. With both of them I get the message "login failed".
I'd be glad about a hint!
Regards, Felix

Hi Felix,
Could you please share how the issue was resolved?
We are facing with a similar issue when access MDM_SRM UI.
We are able to connect to the MDM server and select the repository but when we try to login using Master we get login failed.
We have tried this with other user accounts that have UI configurator role.
Thanks
Regards
Arshad
Hi,
In aid of anyone that might have a similar issue:
Please check that you have all the necessary software components installed.
We experience the same issue where the connection test worked but when you tried to connect using the web UI it game a "logon failed" error .
In our situation we found that we were missing the MDM_CONNECTOR Java component.
I checking this doc (SMP Login Required) : [ Component Installation Guide for SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 |http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000712945&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_OBJECT=012002523100012367812008E]
Check to see you have all required components installed on your J2EE server.
Kind Regards,
Chris
Hi Vijay,
Are you trying to access the UI configuration for SRM-MDM?
To access the MDM_SRM_UI_App, the user needs to have the role UI Configuration Manager. That is a basic role requirement. The idea is that only administrator should have access to this screen. Not meant for a user to freely customize his / her own shopping screen.
You should be able to access the catalog instead, you need to set up web-services from SRM with your Catalog User, user.
Cheers,
Foh
