Schedule production on multiple resource simutaniously

Hi,

We have multiple lines produce the same product at the same time. There are one production version/PDS per line for a given product. Does anyone know if there is function in PPDS that could schedule production on multiple lines at the same time? Currently, the system plan the lines one by one. For example, it will load line A first then load line B... What we need is to start producing the same product on multiple lines same time.

You mean you want to schedule same order on two lines at same time so you complete production in less time?or two different orders?

I would like to see 2 orders. One for each line. Yes, I would like to complete production in less time as you mentioned.

Hi,

If you want two have two differnt orders then one way to control is to use some lot size setting  like may be maximum lot size or fixed lot size so that you always get multiple orders on same date during planning  then you can try  uing  Heuristics SAP_MULT_SCH  and if you are using repetative manufacturing then there is heuristics for loading lines equally.
