Hi

1.What are the requirements for creating multi source universe?

If you want to display data from multipule data  bases (SQL,Oracle, etc) into the reports, then you can create multi-source universe.

For that you need to create multpile connections and pointing to one universe (Muilti-Source).

Hi

it possible to build universe creation on top of sap bw source and oracle r sql server data source...

Is it possible to create universe on top of SAP BW and Oracle/SQL

Yes, It's possible . But you need to connect BW using relational connection

with out common dimension its not possible to build right....

Yes, without common dimension/Common data not possible to link, if both DB have common dimension, then you can able to build Multi Source universe.

For ex: From BW have

Material       Price

0022           20

0012           22

0011           12

0010           14

From Oracle

Product        Plant       Product Name

0022                12           Maggi

0012                22           Kitkat

0010                22           Milk

So you can link using Material (BW) to Product (Oracle), beacuse comman dimetion, so without comman dimention you not able to build multi-source universe.

Hi,

you should ask this question under "semantic layer"  ( I will move this discussion there shortly)

There is some information in the help guides (Information Design Tool User Guide)

Also tutorial on SCN http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-22055
and other papers there http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-42050 , http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-38685
